Marines with Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct special patrol insertion and extraction (SPIE) training on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 29, 2022. SPIE enhances Marines’ ability to maneuver through arduous environments, granting the Marine Air-Ground Task Force commander flexibility when inserting or extracting from complex terrain. The MSPF is preparing for a scheduled deployment as part of the 26th MEU.
