Lana’i North Shore - Shipwreck Beach

On the north shore of the Hawaiian Island of Lana’i, is a remote area known as Kaiolohia AKA Shipwreck Beach. It is an area of strong winds and rough seas. It is also a graveyard for ships that have been sunk here both accidentally and on purpose. The access is not paved so it is highly recommended that you rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle to go here. This spot has excellent views of Moloka’i and Maui. There are petroglyphs and other points of interest to explore.
