AST month I had somethingto say about the benefit ofthe game preserve, and en-deavored to show that itstendency was rather towardfurnishing more or less sport (byreason of overflow from the pre-serve) to outsiders, than monopoli-zing the game for a fa-vored few. A particularpreserve, referred to lastmonth as a fair example,deserves mention again,for since last writing itsexecutive has done somethingwhich leaves its action open tocomment. It does not matter where thispreserve may be, as it is usedonly as an illustration of a policytoo frequently followed by others.^g^This preserve controls a broadexpanse of most excellent marsh,which affords rare good shootingLast month I said : There is nolaw against going to the boundaryof a preserve, and ducks in a hurrydont respect boundaries. Thus anoutsider may have a bit of fun now and , wherever there is a preserve, marsh orforest, there is apt to be a certain overflow ofthe preserved creatures, which
