In Hinduism, a sadhu is a religious ascetic or holy of sādhus are yogī sādhu is solely dedicated to achieving moksha or liberation. The fourth and final aśrama or stage of life arespent in meditation and contemplation of Brahman. Sadhus often wear saffron-coloured clothing, symbolising their sanyasa or renunciation. Sadhus are sanyasi or renunciates leaving behind all material attachments and live in caves, forests and temples all over India and Nepal.
