However words may be juggled,it is true that everything comes in the last analysis from mother earth. So long then as men canlabor and can get at soil to till there remain the means of producing wealth, or in other words,the means of sustaining life. In times of industrial readjustment when there is much enforced idle-ness it is most natural to turn for sustenance to the land. Whatever his other disappointment,here shall one see no enemy but winter and rough weather. Here shall he find food for his tableand food for his thoughts. Can you not devote time enough to this pursuit to increase very substan-tially the family income besides enjoying wholesome toil in the open air ? To those whose leisure is not enforced we can commend no better pastime than only have to consult the man who already has tried it to hear how many and varied are its possi-bilities
