A breathy stag. Knutsford, UK: HILARIOUS IMAGES of red deer stags roaring a warning call at other stags to stay away from their female deer looks as if the stags are singing their hearts out. The photographer captured around five adult stags who were all around 418-pounds. The stags are known as the largest UK mammal, with Martin only being 65-feet away from the large beasts. Amateur Photographer Martin Goff (47) from Rossendale, Lancashire, UK captured amusing images of red deer stags in Tattoo Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, UK. Using a OM System OM1 and Olympus 100-400mm lens, Martin was able to capture images of around five large male stags wandering around the park. Each male stage had their own group of hinds, which are the female deer, that they protect from the other males. What Martin found most interesting about this shoot was how he was able to experience a stag?s roar or ?bolving? in real life, which is a way for the stags to warn other male stags that they should stay away from them and their hinds. ?I saw some Red Deer Stag in Tattoo Park, Knutsford, Cheshire in October 2023,? Martin said. ?There were around five large Stags each with their own harem of hinds (females) that they protected from other Stags. ?I was around 20 metres away from them. ?My favourite thing about this shoot was hearing the Stags roaring or more correctly called 'bolving'.?
