THE SAN FRANCISCO DOG SHOW. A Splendid Exhibit of More than Average Quality. The dog Bhow has come ami gone. It has been a success. The treasury of the California Kennel Club contains more money to-day than has ever appeared to the credit of any clob, after meeting the expenses of a show, on this coast. It was not only a financial Bncoess but also a marked success in all other essential features. This is usually the oase with all public exhibitions which prove to be asucoess financially, for the people demand, and seldom place their approval upon any undertaking, especially of this nature unless it be meritorious. The Bhow, which was held in the Republican Wigwam, presented the evidence of the kennel interests of this city and the leading points of the State, in a very fair light. The Bhow was held under difficulties which are peculiar to the kennelworld. The splendid effort was ob- tained only by the hard and continuous labor of a few men, who would not be daunted by opposition. The 8ncceS3 of this event is due to earnest and honest effort and wherever deserving and psinBtaking work is shown, this paper will always be free to extend the full meade of praise due tbe workers. There was plenty of room and good light and ventilation in the building. Mr. John Davidson had an arduous task in judging all classes, but he discharged his duties in a manner eminently satisfactory to the majority of our better posted kennel men.
