A presentation sword with a guard's star. Patterned after the infantry officer's sword M 1889. Straight blade with double fullers, the upper half etched and gilded (worn), the lower half nickel-plated. The obverse with the inscription "Eisenhauer" and (tr) "To Second Lieutenant von Zingler in the 143rd Infantry Regiment for Page Service 1890/91". The reverse with the manufacturer's mark and the inscription (tr) "Irène, Princess Heinrich of Prussia". With a raised signature "Ed. Schultze, Court Purveyor, Potsdam" on the gilded back.
