Construction of the southern leg of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, utilising a former abandoned railway.

The Cambridgeshire guided busway, which was due to open in Summer 2009, will link St Ives with Cambridge via the world's longest guided busway. The guideway is being constructed along the line of a former railway. At Cambridge buses will exit the guideway and travel along normal roads with new bus lanes. South of Cambridge city centre an additional leg of the busway will link Cambridge railway station with the Trumpington Park & Ride
