1904 photograph of London's 1st London General Omnibus Company (LGOC) steam driven Motor Bus. It was limited to a speed of twelve miles per hour. It ran between Hammersmith,Kensington and Piccadilly Circus. It was the principal bus operator in London between 1855 and 1933 and even manufactured its own buses for a short time. (horse-drawn buses were still running at this time
