Pioneer buildings, dress and re,-enactments are everyday at Salt Lake City, Utah's "This is the Place Monument State Park". The state of Utah in the USA has a rich Mormon pioneer heritage and it is celebrated and depicted year round at the park. Here a memorial statue entitled "Journey's End" on the Pioneer Village grounds depicts a Mormon pioneer family kneeling in prayer to give thanks upon arriving in the Salt Lake valley, much like they might have done in the 1800's when the area was first settled.
