North Gate of Suwon Hwaseong, called Janganmun

Janganmun, known locally as Bungmun (North Gate), is the largest such gate in South Korea. Janganmun's stone base is capped with a two-storey wooden pavilion. A small, semi-circular protective wall known as an ongseong, is located outside the gate. The gate was destroyed in the Korean War and reconstructed in the 1970s.
