Dr. Vaugban Harley proposed and Major CliveBehrens seconded that the Society be asked toerect a stand at the Shorthorn ring at the Societysghow at the expense of the Shorthorn Society, forwhich a charge might be made, such stand to beafterwards used for the sale. Mr. J. M. Strickland suggested that part of thehorse ring in front of the grand stand should beused for the purpose. The Marquis of Crewe suggested that the twomotions might be combined and forwarded to for consideration. Mr. J. Harris pointed out that Mr. Stricklandssuggestion would involve too long a journey for thecattle. Mr. R. H. Green asked if the judging ring mightbe rolled, as it was
