The pelvic floor projection is over-estimated by Schroeder; (2.) Fosters and Schultzes average is nearer the mark ; (3.) The retropubic fat gives a rough index of the position of the pubicsegment (Figs. 41, 42, 50) ; (4.) The pelvic floor projection is increased by advanced and even byearly pregnancy (Braunes Plates). The whole enquiry needs further investigation in order to settle alsoother points, among which we may mention the relation of the vagina tothe pelvic outlet and the varying amount of pelvic floor projection in dif-ferent postures.
