KAJAKI, Helmand province, Afghanistan - Lance Cpl. Justin Hillman, a rifleman with Battery E, 2nd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, sweeps for improvised explosive devices using a metal detector in the “green zone” along the Helmand River, Aug. 12. Hillman, 23, is a native of Fitchburg, Mass., and a 2007 graduate of Monty-Tech High School.
