A late 19th Century view of fishing boats in Lowestoft harbour, an English town on the North Sea coast in the county of Suffolk. As a port town it developed out of the fishing industry and with wide, sandy beaches, two piers and other attractions it became a traditional seaside resort. In the 19th century, the Lowestoft Railway & Harbour Company, connecting the town with Reedham and the city of Norwich, to help stimulate further development in the fishing industry.
