Elder Street's Georgian Terraces are among the oldest in London. The Elder Street Conservation Area was designated in July 1969 and the Spitalfields Historic Buildings Trust succeeded in increasing awareness of the historic 18th century buildings. Major office developments rise just outside the conservation area to the south and west. View looking south to Folgate Street from Fleur de Lis Street.
