Kamante, once head servant and cook for Baroness Karen Blixen, shows his newly published book, 'Longing for Darkness', to Ingrid Lindstrom, a close friend of Blixen and the Grant family. The book reflects Blixen's (aka Isak Dinesen's) famous novel 'Out of Africa', in which Kamante is a character, but is written from Kamante's point of view and enhanced with drawings and letters. Kamante later played a small part as an elder in the television adaptation of The Flame Trees of Thika.
