The Omagari Japan National Fireworks Competition - one of the three major fireworks festival in Japan, is held every year on the 4th Sunday in the month of August. On that day over 800,000 visitors from all over Japan will gather at Omagari Daisen, a city with a population of less than 90,000, for this major extravaganza. Over hours, more than 15,000 fireworks will be fired.
