Sow in April, if the weather is favorable, in rows 18 inches apart, and thin out or transplant in rows, 12 inches apart for the Late White, and 8 inches for the Early Vienna varieties, as they are. considered diflicult to transplant. When 3 to 4 inches in diameter they are fit to eat. For late use sow in June and July. Earliest Erfurt.
