A pair of long percussion pistols, Carl Contriner in Vienna, circa 1840. Two-stage barrels, octagonal then round after balusters with smooth bores in calibre 17 mm. Folding rear sights. Silver line inlays in front of the snails. Tangs and locks have fine vine engraving. The lockplates are signed "Carl Contriner". Walnut full stocks with finely chequered grips, carved pommels, horn nosecaps, and finely engraved iron furniture. Wooden ramrods with horn tips. Barrels reblued.
