View WSW of Dun Baravat Iron Age galleried dun or broch on a small island in Loch Barabhat, Bernera, Isle of Lewis, Scotland, UK. A narrow stone causeway links the fort to the shore. Broch-like features include a double wall with an internal scarcement & entrance to an upper intramural gallery. In use early 1st millennium AD. Sweetbrier & honeysuckle grow within the fort, sea ivory covers the outer wall.
