Cw 6650 Allotments West Drive Amble Amble is a small town on the north east coast of Northumberland in North East England. It was a former mining and fishing town, with most of the signs of the mining having disappeared though there is still a small fishing fleet that works out of the harbour. At the top end of the town, near the West cemetery is a plot of garden allotments. With a lot of the local cottages and homes not having any garden area these allotments provided a area for people to cultivate vegetables and flowers. Over time various homemade sheds and green houses have been built, along with pigeon lofts and the more modern polythene tunnels. The town of Amble has been undergoing a renaissance in recent years and is now considered a trendy and fashionable place to live, being recently named by the Sunday Times Newspaper as one of the places to live in 2019.
