Whatevershade the neck is,the breast lacingshould be the same,and each feather onbreast of both maleand female shouldbe evenly laced allround with a narrowedge of the sameshade as neck legs and feet of mr. male and fe-male should be quite dark in color. If black legs can be had they are by far thebest. Good colored Brown-Reds bred together should produceboth males and fenjales of the proper colors.
