Marc Weber Tobias, Tobias Bluzmanis, and Matt Fiddler at DEFCON
Marc Weber Tobias, Matt Fiddler, and Tobias Bluzmanis demonstrated a variety of attacks against the Medeco high-security locks as part of their talk, "Open in 30 Seconds: Cracking One of the Most Secure Locks in America" at the DEFCON hacking conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 8, 2008. The researchers showed that they could successfully defeat the Medeco locks' key-control, anti-lockpicking, and anti-bumping protections and open the high-security locks in under 30 seconds.
