1 July 2018 - A female firefighter lies down next to the Winter Hill fire from exhaustion whilst her colleague battles flames next to her. Fire crews from across the UK have converged on Winter Hill to control the blaze which is growing by metres per hour. Lancashire Fire and Rescue and Lancashire Police are leading the response to the 'major incident'.
