Top Australian finisher Andrew Tuckey passes above the Col de la Forclaz in Switzerland on his way to a 6th place finish in the UTMB. The race takes the runners through 3 alpine countries (France, Switzerland and Italy), over many high mountain passes for a total of 163km of running and 9600m of height gain total while circumnavigating the Mont Blanc massif. The race is conducted in semi-autonomy with only a few stops for food and water. It is run for 2 nights and 2 days. The first runners reached Chamonix in under 21 hours.
