The entrance to Ryssby Swedish Evangelical Lutheran church, near Longmont, Colorado.
The church was built by Swedish immigrants who came originally from the village of Ryssbt in south central Sweden. They emigrated ti America in the !860's and 70's arriving at New York and taking the newly completed Trans-Continental railway to the then Colorado Territory where they became homesteaders. The church was dedicated on Reformation day in October 1881. It is currently only used for special services and ceremonies such as weddings.
