Commissioning ceremony for Army ROTC cadets at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State. College students who have successfully completed the Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) and have graduated college are commissioned as second Lieutanants. Those who have not completed college will be commissioned after graduation. The mission of LDAC is to train Army ROTC cadets to Army standards and to develop leadership and evaluate officer potential.
