London, UK. 9th September 2017. A man lies on the ground surrounded by police, his arm linked in a lock-in, relaxing while the police cutting squad are slowly removing the tube joining him with another protester. He was one of several hundred protesters at the festival at the East gate of the worlds's largest arms fair, DSEI, the Defence & Security Equipment International, which is backed by the UK government and where arms companies and arms dealers sell weapons to countries around the world including many repressive regimes. He was one of several hundred protesters at the festival at the East gate of the worlds's largest arms fair, DSEI, the Defence & Security Equipment International, which is backed by the UK government and where arms companies and arms dealers sell weapons to countries around the world including many repressive regimes. Police tried to clear the road and made several arrests including the two involved in the lock-in and another who lay under the wheels of the lorry. East London Against Arms Fairs (ELAAF) held a musical protest at the pedestrian entrance to the ExCeL centre.
