WW1 era studio portrait postcard of a handsome good looking young radio operator, possibly still a teenager, serving in the British navy. On his cap is written (Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve) and on his sleeve is a radio operator's badge. The postcard is dated 4th April 1917.


On the reverse of the postcard is written " To Aunt Aggie with love from Willie 4th April 1917".
