Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein visits Airmen at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Dec. 24, 2018. Goldfein traveled throughout the Central Command area of responsibility with Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Kaleth O. Wright and Air Forces Central Command commander Lt. Gen. Joesph T. Guastella to thank Airmen for their service in defense of America. "This is the time in our lives when we're most alive," said Goldfein, "we're making a difference and doing something that's much bigger than ourselves."
