He was released Feb. 29, 1876 he was chosen and set apart asone of the presidents of the 55th quo-rum of Seventy, and has been itssenior president since Jan. 14, never called on a foreignmission, he has been an active memberof the Church at home, performing anylabor asigned to him to the best of his. ability. Thus, he has labored as ahome missionary, as a Ward teacher(since 1864), as presiding teacher (sinceNov. 14, 1888), as a teacher in the localSunday school (from Nov. 18, 1877, un-til the present time), and as assistantsuperintendent in the same school(since Oct. 3, 1880). He has officiatedin most of the baptisms in KaysvilleWard since 1864 and baptized 778 per-sons. He has been very zealous inteaching his children the principles ofthe gospel, both by precept and exam-ple being the father of 21 children, 19of whom are living. Four of his sonshave carried the gospel to the world. HYDE, Rosel, counselor in theKaysville Ward bishopric from 1858 to1877, is a son of Heman Hyde and Polly W.
