Buffalo has been enjoying some beau- tiful weather, unusually warm for No- vember. The stores have a pleasing ap- pearance and many of them have dimin- utive chrysanthemum exhibits, the most popular mum being William Turner. Some good Batons and Yellow Batons were seen last week; in the pinks, Maud Dean made its annual appearance. Ma- jor Bonnaffon still draws the attention of the public as a good yellow. Pom- pons are greatly in demand, especially Noveltoma and Garza. Eoses are sell- ing well, although not up to the stand- ard. Better sales are expected after the mum season is over. Beauties are somewhat scarce. Sunburst, Mock and Shawyer roses are remarkably good in color and length of stem. As a whole, roses are becoming quite plentiful. Violets are better and enjoy an increas- ing demand. Valley and orchids are sufficient for the demand. Carnations are more abundant and of good quality. Easter lilies are about the same as last reported. Snapdragons are few but un- usually good. Pansies and cosmos still are to be had, but they are of inferior grade. The sales of all greens are as good as usual. Various Notes. At the South Park Conservatories, distinctive chrysanthemums have been on display for the public. It was re- ported that November 9 15,000 people attended the exhibition, and a larger attendance is expected November 16. Good begonias and Boston ferns were noticeable at the greenhouses of S. A. Anderson, on Elmwood avenue. Lehde & Galley, whft opened a flower shop on Seneca street, October 23, find business quite satisfactory at the new stand, as well as at the other store on Triangle street. C. F. Christensen is cutting good Maud Dean mums, for which he finds a ready sale at a good price. At the branch store of W. J. Palmer & Son, W. F. Kasting has on display a Boston fern measuring eight
