New recruits of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, receive a Uniform Code of Military Justice brief during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Jan. 19. During this time, recruits are read the articles of the UCMJ and learn how they pertain to them during recruit training and what the consequences of each violation are. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate April 15.
