In 2004 Jan Fabre realized "Beetle" Totem on the Ladeuzeplein in Leuven on behalf of the Catholic University of Leuven on the occasion of its 575th anniversary. The work consists of a 23 meter high stainless steel needle piercing a giant beetle (of the family Buprestidae).
