ATLANTIC OCEAN. (April 4, 2017) Sailors assigned to USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) sand the barrel of one of the ship’s two Mark 45 5-inch guns in preparation for painting. Leyte Gulf is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
