That the genus Leirus as defined by Regan (1902, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, x, p. 195) is capable of subdivision cannot be denied, but without an extensive and well-preserved series of specimens of the different species it is almost impossible to define the limits of the various groups.
