This illustration of Heinrich von Weldeke is from a 1910 book and is done in the Heidleberg (German) style of writing. Heinrich von Veldeke (c. 1150 to after 1184) was a German poet in the Middle Ages. His best known work was "Eneide" (or "Eneit"), which was based on Virgil's epic tale of the Trojan hero Aeneas and the Carthaginian queen Dido.
