Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) Team Operator Aaron Gasnello, a SWAT sniper with the Chesapeake Police Department's SWAT Team, begins a close-quarters battle (CQB) training event with personnel employed by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Special Response Team (SRT), the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Special Agents, the Chesapeake Police Department's SWAT Team, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) at IAMS Range, Naval Support Activity Northwest Annex, Virginia, June 23, 2022. Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (MCSFR) CQB instructors led various live-fire qualifications, movement to contact drills and guided discussions on CQB tactics and techniques for personnel with the DOE’s SRT, the FBI’s Special Agents, the Chesapeake Police Department's SWAT Team, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency’s ERT. MCSFR capitalized on the interagency training evolution to enhance CQB capabilities and knowledge for Marine CQB instructors and all participating agency operators further equiping anti-terrorism security forces for vital national assets.
