The sheet of water is a portion of the long Devna winds through the rich meadow to the left (full of cattle) connecting it with the narrow lake on this side. In whatever direction you look, the country is wooded, not with tall, but very flourishing, trees. The village of Aladyn, a mile and a half from the camp, the left, sheltered among rocks and trees'.
