An Old engraving showing King George II of Britain and Ireland on his way to the House of Lords in 1754. George Augustus or Georg August was of the House of Hanover and was also entitled Elector of Hanover, Prince of Wales,Guardian and Lieutenant of the Realm, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and a Prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire. He was the last British monarch to lead an army in battle (Battle of Dettingen in 1743)
