As indicated by its name, this new Corn possesses the peculiar feature of being self-husking ; that is, as indicated by the engrarnng, it naturally has the habit of stripping its ear clean of the husk, a feature we have never seen in any other corn. In addition to this it is a ver>' good and very productive variety. It is a flint corn, with handsome ears from lo to 13 inches in length ; corn of an arober color ; cob small, and husks open about half way down, so as greatly to facilitate stripping of it. It ripens fully ten days earlier than Canada Yellow, and will be found a very valuable corn for second planting or for growing far North. The earliest, ripen- ing in 76 to 90 days from time of planting. It will produce a good crop if planted as late as the first of July, and thrives well on light soil. GOLDEN DEW-DROP. A valuable variety for the North, and in other sections for late planting, as it grows quickly and matures early. It is an eight-rowed flint variety; small white cob. ANGEL OF MIDNIGHT. Ears 12 inches long, 8 rows. Kernels large, broad, yellow flint. Plants six feet high only ; ver^' leafy at the bottom, slender top; ears low, often two large ears to a stalk. LONGFELLOW'S FIELD.
