A South German ivory crucifix, 19th century Hollow cross made from several pieces with suspension loop as well as superimposed Titulus crucis, monogram "MV" rendered in colour on the reverse side. Extraordinarily delicately worked body, also made from several pieces. Minor imperfections near the finely carved crown of thorns as well as the fingers of the right hand and the shoulder. Length of the body 27 cm, length of the crucifix 66 cm.
