The second opportunity alluded to in the beginningof this article for getting in on the ground floor on therise of a new breed, viz., White Indian Runner Ducks,is a little ahead in progress, as the organization ofthe National White Runner Duck Club was perfectedlast November at Atlanta, Georgia. The number of poultry shows are increasing fast,and we expect to see a Show held in nearly every local-ity where there are a number of people interested inkeeping poultry in the next few years. In every vil-lage of a few thousand inhabitants and in all smallcities where there are a few Fanciers who are willingto get out and hustle a local Poultry Exhibition canbe profitably held every year if handled with ordinarycare. No doubt there are many living in such localitieswho agree with me but do not know how to start thingsgoing, or they do not like to take the initiative in sucha matter. Now is the time to start if you think of holding yourfirst show next winter. First thing is to find out whothere is in your neighborhood that would be likely totake an interest and work for the success of such aventure.
