In addition to the types of streams mentioned, the Indian Territoryextension of the Red River subdivision of the Cretaceous prairies iscrossed from north to south by a number of deep and copious lateralsof Red River, which originate in the Ouachita Mountains, includingthe Little, Kiamitia, Boggy, Blue, and Washita rivers.
