A cavalry sabre, early 18th century Slight curved blade à  la Montmorency, the obverse etched with the inscription "Vive le Roy", the reverse with the coat of arms of the house of Bourbon surmounting a sun between floral ornaments. Iron stirrup hilt with pierced, symmetrical shell guards, inversed mounted grip with brass wire wrap, iron pommel inscribed "No 87".
