The tree stands inthe Corsican or larico, and of a green, low ground, fully exposed, and has provedbrighter and more yellowish, like the perfectly hardy. F. R. E. Lilies.—We. notice our dealers in thesebulbs are offering them at prices compara-tively cheap with former years, and weagain say to our readers, do not fail of hav-ing a bed of lilies. Make trie ground richwith well-rotted manure, and at least twofeet deep ; then, when planting the bulb, surround it with clean sand an inch thick,below and above, and over it good strongsoil, free from any unclecomposed or vegetable matter, in an un-decomposed state, when in immediateconnection with the bulb, induces rot anddecay.
