Ziegler, volume 1, page 346 (English edition), says : " Our knowledge of the organisms known as 'Miescher's corpuscles' or 'Rainey's corpuscles' is still very defective. They are cylindrical or tube-like bodies, found not infrequently in the muscles of the pig, ox, sheep and mouse. They con- tain an innumerable multitude of small oval and reniform ;.
