The Old Academy building was built between 1803 - 1807 to house Perth Academy and Perth Grammer schools along with other educational institutes as public seminaries. It forms the central section of Rose Terrace, part of Perth's Georgian 'New Town'. After use as a school, municipal building and library, it was renovated in the 1990s and converted into commercial offices, which use continues to the present day.
